Good News Flowing From California as Spay/Neuter Bill Dies, Other Positive Legislation Moves to Governor (Click Here For More)
The end of the California legislative session brought good news for sportsmen. In a major victory, AB 1634, the California bill that would have required the spay or neuter of dogs and cats, including hunting dogs, is officially dead. Meanwhile, two other pieces of legislation that help hunters and anglers made their way to the Governor’s desk.

USSA Applauds New Legislation Regarding Polar Bear Trophies (Click Here For More)
USSA Works with Alaska Congressman to Find Solution
Last week, in a step applauded by USSA, U.S. Representative Don Young (R- AK) introduced new legislation allowing for the importation of already existing polar bear trophies. Currently, all importation of trophies is prohibited due to the recent decision by the Department of the Interior to list them as “threatened” under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
